EveryAction has an updated phone data model, which more accurately describes a phone number's use, device type, and capabilities.
These updates will make it easier for you to find the right phone number for the right channel and provide greater control over which numbers rise to the top of a supporter record.
Dropping Fax and Main Phone Types
In the coming weeks, the Phone Types of "Fax" and "Main" will no longer be options for defining a phone number. You will not be able to select these options in the CRM or upload/map to them. An exact date will be communicated later. We encourage you to migrate your existing Phone Types "Fax" or "Main" to other Phone Types and Device Types using Bulk Upload, the API or Bulk Edit actions via the Phone Number Report. When we drop these options, any remaining Phones with Type "Fax" will be set to Phone Type "Work," and any remaining phones with Phone Type "Main" will be set to Phone Type "Home."
More information on default settings and one-time mappings is available below.

Manage your custom 'From’ email addresses
|
|
|
- Administrators in Donor Management can now set up and verify their own domain(s) for sending emails in the Settings tab. With this new functionality, administrators can add and verify email addresses (a.k.a. 'Senders') that end in the verified domain. Only one verified domain is allowed.
- Administrators can set one email address as the default sender. When sending emails, administrators will be able to change the ‘From’ email address and select the desired sender during setup.
Why is this important?
- Major email providers like Gmail and Yahoo prefer to see bulk emails coming from a verified custom domain, so doing this for your program can improve deliverability rates and engagement with recipients.
- If you already have a custom ‘From’ email address, you should now see that the domain is in a verified state; please take action to verify your domain if not.
- You now have the option to send from multiple email addresses instead of just one.

Donor checkout for
one-time donations
|
Making a donation just got easier and faster for many donors!
We recently rolled out a "Continue as Guest" option at checkout, which allows donors with donor accounts to make a one-time donation without having to log in. If donors are making a recurring donation, they will still be required to log in.

|
Donor Status functionality enhancement
|
You can now export the Donor Status when exporting contacts in Donor Management, providing greater insight into your donors in exported files. When you select contacts and click “Export” under Bulk Actions, you will now see an option called “Donor Status” that can be searched for and added to the list of exported fields. If a donor has more than one status, they will be comma-separated in the CSV file.

Changes to Contact History functionality
|
In order to prevent a common error that results in bad data, we are soon removing the ability to:
- Bulk apply Contact History for phone-related contact methods when using Bulk Apply on My List, and
- Apply one value to all records when using Bulk Upload to apply Contact History for phone-related contact methods.
Phone numbers are still required to apply phone-related contact attempts. When bulk uploading phone Contact History, you will soon need to use Bulk Upload and map the attempted phone number from a file column to bulk apply phone-related Contact History.

Fundraising Management dashboard enhancements
|
Soon, all clients will be able to set custom date ranges on the Fundraising Management dashboard to see data across the most relevant time period, such as an election cycle or period.
Customers with Disclosure and Compliance will also see a Non-Memoed Total metric, which lets you view the contributions that more directly impact cash-on-hand.

Updates to MiniVAN’s Commit All & Auto Commit functionality
|
Users who can commit MiniVAN data are now able to commit all uncommitted data for a committee with just one click. This improvement is part of our preparation for a transition to Auto Commit for MiniVAN later this summer, where all MiniVAN data will be automatically committed without needing user intervention.
